What are these terms for?
These terms of use (“Terms”) govern use of the Wijetto website and app, including Wijetto Plus subscription features. They apply to the extent permitted by the mandatory rules of your country of residence.
Read these Terms before creating an account and using Wijetto. Using the service requires acceptance of them. The privacy policy explains separately how your data is processed; it is not a request for blanket consent to all processing.
For the app distributed on the App Store, the Apple standard licence agreement (EULA) also applies. Apple’s terms govern transactions with the App Store, without removing your legal rights in relation to Wijetto.
Minimum age and account
Wijetto is intended for people aged at least 13. If you are a minor, you must obtain your legal representative’s permission to use the service and take out a subscription. The legal capacity and consent requirements of your country still apply. In France, under the age of 15, processing based on consent requires the joint agreement of the child and a holder of parental responsibility.
The app is available on iPhone. A compatible device and iOS version, as indicated on the App Store, and an internet connection for online features are required. Device and connection costs are your responsibility.
You can sign in with Apple, Google or a code sent by email. Provide accurate information and protect access to your email and sign-in accounts. Do not share your sign-in codes. Let us know if you suspect unauthorised access.
The Wijetto service
Wijetto lets you create drawings and compositions with text, photos and stickers, then send them to the iPhone widget of someone close to you: your Buddy. A personal code pairs two accounts. Each account can be paired with only one Buddy at a time.
The Museum keeps sent and received creations. The app also offers a personal sticker collection and a shared daily streak. These spaces are private: Wijetto has no public feed, user directory or group messaging.
The free version currently allows two sends per day and up to twelve personal stickers stored locally. The Museum and its online backup are included. Applicable limits and features are shown in the app before any subscription.
Widget delivery and display depend, among other things, on the network, device and iOS refresh decisions. Immediate display cannot be guaranteed. Wijetto must not be used to convey urgent information or information essential to someone’s safety.
Your creations and other people’s rights
You retain your rights to content you create or import. You grant Wijetto a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide permission to host, copy, resize, re-encode, transmit and display it, solely to operate the service and make it accessible to you and your Buddy. This permission lasts as long as the content is retained for these purposes, subject to legal obligations.
This permission does not allow Wijetto to use your creations in advertising or publish them for promotional purposes without your separate agreement.
Only import content you have the right to use and share. Respect copyright, image rights and the privacy of people depicted. Your Buddy can save or capture what appears on their device: only share what you are willing to communicate to them.
Illegal content, threats, harassment, hate speech, intimate images shared without consent and any sexual exploitation of minors are prohibited. You must not use Wijetto to impersonate someone, harm others or infringe their rights.
The Wijetto Plus subscription
Plus is an optional subscription. It currently offers up to twenty sends per day, photo library imports into the Studio, a sticker collection with no plan-imposed limit on the number of stickers and online backup, and one streak restoration per calendar month within 48 hours of losing it, for the current duo. The limit of one Buddy still applies.
Reference prices in France are €3.99 per month or €29.99 per year, including applicable taxes. The price, currency, period and any offers shown by the App Store before confirmation apply to the relevant purchase. They may vary by country.
A free trial of 14 days may be offered to eligible new subscribers. It only applies if the App Store confirms it at the time of purchase. At the end of the trial, the subscription becomes paid at the stated price unless cancelled within the deadline specified by Apple.
Apple processes payment and charges the payment method linked to your Apple account. RevenueCat verifies purchases and links Plus entitlements to your Wijetto account.
The subscription renews automatically for the selected period until cancelled. To avoid renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, according to the App Store’s instructions.
You can manage or cancel the subscription from Wijetto’s subscription management screen or from iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Wijetto. After cancellation, Plus access remains until the end of the period already granted, unless a refund or another applicable rule provides otherwise. A restore purchases feature is available in the app.
Ending Plus does not, by itself, erase the Museum or stickers already backed up. Creation, import, sending and synchronisation features are then subject to the free plan’s limits.
Deleting Wijetto or your account does not cancel the Apple subscription.
Withdrawal and refunds
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the conclusion of a distance contract, subject to the legal conditions and exceptions applicable to digital content and services.
Immediate access to a service does not, by itself, cause you to lose this right. Any requests for immediate performance and waivers are collected during the purchase flow where legally required.
For an App Store purchase, use the Apple refund request procedure. The App Store’s terms apply to purchase processing. You can also contact us if you have difficulty accessing or using Plus. Nothing in these Terms excludes any refund or remedy to which you are legally entitled.
Respecting the service and reporting issues
Do not attempt to bypass plan limits, access another person’s account or content, guess pairing codes at scale, disrupt servers or exploit a vulnerability. Copying, decompiling and automated extraction of the service are prohibited except where expressly permitted by law.
You can leave your Buddy from your profile. To report abuse, illegal content or a security issue, email contact@wijetto.com with information useful for identifying the issue, without unnecessarily sharing other people’s private data. Support is also available in the app.
We review reports and may remove content, restrict access or suspend an account where necessary and proportionate, particularly in the event of a serious breach of these Terms or a legal obligation. Unless there is a security emergency or legal prohibition, the person concerned is informed of the reason and can contact us to challenge the measure.
Leaving a duo or deleting your account
You can stop using Wijetto, leave your Buddy or request deletion of your account at any time. Request account deletion from Profile → Delete my account or at contact@wijetto.com.
Leaving a duo ends the pairing and shared streak; it does not delete the account or all archives. Deleting an account erases, among other things, its online archives of sent and received creations, which may make them unavailable online to the former Buddy.
Copies already downloaded, exported or captured on another device cannot be remotely erased. Retention arrangements and exceptions are detailed in the privacy policy. Remember to keep a copy of any creations you want to save before deletion.
Wijetto’s intellectual property
The Wijetto name, logos, interface, text and code are protected by applicable rights and remain the property of their respective holders. You have a personal right to use the service in accordance with these Terms and the applicable licence. No other rights to these elements are transferred to you.
Third-party components, visuals and other elements remain subject to their holders’ rights and licences.
Availability, warranties and liability
We operate and secure the service with reasonable care. Interruptions may nevertheless be necessary for maintenance or result from the network, iOS or a service provider. We endeavour to limit their duration and inform users where possible.
Consumers benefit from the statutory warranties applicable to digital content and services, including the statutory guarantee of conformity under Articles L. 224-25-12 et seq. of the French Consumer Code. For a continuously supplied service, this guarantee applies during the supply period provided for in the contract. Depending on the legal conditions, it provides for bringing the service into conformity at no charge, a price reduction or termination of the contract. Updates necessary to maintain conformity and security are provided in accordance with legal requirements.
If something is not working, contact contact@wijetto.com. Our liability is assessed under applicable law. These Terms neither exclude nor limit statutory warranties, liability for our faults where it cannot be limited, or mandatory consumer rights.
Changes to the service and Terms
Wijetto may evolve to improve its operation, security or compatibility. Changes comply with legal obligations applicable to digital services and cannot retroactively remove an acquired right.
If these Terms or a subscribed feature change substantially, we will inform you through an appropriate channel before the change takes effect. Where the law provides, you may reject the change or end the contract at no charge. Subscription price changes follow the App Store’s information and consent rules and applicable law.
Applicable law, complaints and mediation
These Terms are governed by French law. If you live in another country, you retain the mandatory protections that country’s law grants you as a consumer.
For a complaint, first email contact@wijetto.com to seek an amicable resolution.
If you are a consumer and your written complaint does not resolve the dispute, you may request free consumer mediation under the conditions set out in Articles L. 611-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code.
Seeking an amicable resolution does not limit your other remedies. Jurisdiction is determined by the applicable rules, including those protecting consumers; these Terms do not require you to bring proceedings exclusively in a French court.
